I ran across this research that supports work that I have done with clients and thought I'd share it with you. Even though the hypnotists in the research do hypnosis differently from the way I do, it's nice to see that the research is there.
Hypnotists are so often getting results that are AHEAD of what is being researched. Usually research about hypnosis is based on antiquated techniques like progressive relaxation inductions, and direct suggestion.
These techniques along with visualization have been used for eons effectively for many medical issues, but now have additional techniques that are even more advanced. I wouldn't be surprised if the results are far better in terms of higher percentages being successful and the results lasting, than what this article indicates.
I hope you like the article and if you have hot flashes don't give up hypnosis can help you! http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/10/121024111526.htm
