Yesterday, my husband Christopher took his elderly Mother for a check-up at her Doctor. They asked her, and every other patient that also checked in, the following questions –
Have you had any recent fever, body aches, rashes or other flu-like symptoms?
Have you traveled outside the USA in the past 21 days?
Has anyone in your household traveled to China or had contact with someone who has?
So, like so many other cities around the US, fears of the Corona Virus have come to suburban Dallas, Texas. As a matter of fact, the Center for Disease Control has recommended that travelers avoid all nonessential travel to China. The warning is here –

As my husband sat there waiting for his Mother’s visit to end, he watched these questions being asked time and time again. Most people laughed or just shrugged it off, but, one lady went into a full-blown panic attack! She was shaking and crying and was so terrified at the thought that the virus was loose and she might contract it.
Fears can be overwhelming for some and the news media is inadvertently stoking this particular fear, see this example –

Back to the story. Upon hearing the commotion, a nurse came out to help the patient right away. She took her immediately in to see the Physician, removing her from the waiting room.
When my husband finally got home, he said “Wish you could have been there to help. There is nothing like a good hypnotist to alleviate fear and anxiety”. He then added, ” To react like that, I’ll bet her whole life is one fear-filled day after another”. Apparently, he has been paying attention over the years!
So, whether it’s a new fear just manifesting, or a lifetime’s worth of unpleasant emotions that builds up, Hypnosis can help. What the mind creates, the mind can resolve. One just needs a little guidance from a professional.
I offer free telephone consultations if you have any questions about your fear-based problems (what mental health and medical professionals call panic attacks, anxiety, or phobias, we call fear). Just go to familyfirsthypnosis.com to book your free telephone consultation.
