Cigna Health Insurance’s New Study on Loneliness – How Sad!

Over the years of being a Hypnotist I have always suspected that loneliness was reaching epidemic proportions! This distressing new study confirms it –

* 3 out of 5 adults, or 61%, said that they sometimes or always feel lonely
*
Among workers aged 18-22, 73% report sometimes or always feeling alone, up from 69% a year ago
* There is a greater feeling of loneliness among people who use social media more
* At work, men appear to feel much more isolated than women

But let me explain how Family First Hypnosis can help, this is something I recently wrote –

I have discovered that the hidden cause behind a lot of issues is deep-seated, forgotten
feelings of being all alone. Weirdly, kids left in a high chair too long, in their cribs too long, or
even children who are there with a parent, but sense the parent is preoccupied, can kick off a
life long deep feeling of longing and yearning, a sense that there is no one there for them.

Closely related to fear and sometimes joined with fear, that feeling of loneliness, can be detected
as an empty feeling inside and most often is felt in the stomach or chest. Over the years, my
clients as children learned to distract themselves from that pain with various things. Things
such as a pacifier, or a cookie even a toy or television. Once my clients got older that would
turn to using other things to feel better like too much food, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling and
many, many other things.

The incredible news is that in a hypnotic state this feeling can be completely removed along
with other thoughts and feelings that so often go along with it such as “I’m just not good
enough” or “something is wrong with me” or “I have to be perfect” to name a few.

So, imagine if you felt whole and complete within yourself, not needing anyone to be there for
you or with you. Instead, you could enjoy loved ones, but not have to have them respond a
certain way. And maybe even more importantly, you wouldn’t feel you needed to impress them
or get their approval. You could stand on your own two feet. You would be so strong, so
confident. What could you do with that kind of inner strength?

But how do you know if that is you? Try this. The next time you get the idea to do the thing
that you are trying to stop doing, don’t. Instead, put your attention in your body and feel how
you feel. Ask yourself if you are longing, lonely, empty, or even sad (sometimes lonely is
mistaken for sadness because it feels similar.). You may be able to detect it yourself.

Loneliness can be so deep, covered by other feelings like anger and fear, however, that this
exercise could fail to find it. Either way, a good 5-PATH hypnotist can help you find what’s
driving your behavior and whether you find it or can’t, calling for a free consultation would be a
great next step.
