Every one of us, sooner or later, will have to face emotions related to losing someone close to us. Fortunately, there is a natural process, called grieving, that moves us through these feelings to a stronger, wiser and more mature self. Therefore, the process of grieving can be very good for us – in the long run.
Grief, however, is NOT good for us if we get stuck in that process, and many people do. Getting stuck is extremely painful to the bereaved and torture for family and friends who love them. In addition, it can be quite dangerous to mental and physical health and can slow down or completely halt production in employment or business endeavors.
Fortunately, there is an accelerated grief process that can be used. I use it with my clients and teach it to hypnotists. Grief work, when done right, can lead to a peaceful, satisfying, warm secure resolution of feelings causing total transformation of lives, giving tremendous relief clients and their families.
When a public figure, who seems to have it all, dies, it can resonate deeply with masses of people causing an entire nation to grieve. Here are some examples: from the New York Times, The Washington Post and CNN, the grief of Kobe Bryant’s passing is being felt across the nation and around the world…
